This depends on the complexity of the legal title to the property and the size of the chain.

A straightforward transaction can complete in as little as 4 weeks.
But on average, a freehold transaction takes between 8-12 weeks to complete and a leasehold transaction takes between 12-14 weeks.

Complex transactions can on occasion complete outside of the average timescales.
